Dr. Mark K. Davis, Therapeutic Optometrist
Dr. Mark K. Davis is a 1985 graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. He has practiced in San Antonio since 1986.
Dr. Davis specializes in difficult to fit contact lens patients, especially Keratoconus, the treatment for eye disease, especially glaucoma and dry eyes and also Laser Vision Correction. Dr. Davis is one of the most experienced optometrists in San Antonio in Laser Vision Correction.
He is past president of the Bexar County Optometric Society. He has also served on the Board of Directors and as an officer for the Texas Optometric Association. He is a past Medical Director of the San Antonio Chapter of the Society to Prevent Blindness. Dr. Davis is a member of the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Davis is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Houston, College of Optometry and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Indiana, School of Optometry. He is also a Fellow of the American Board of Clinical Optometry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
Dr. Davis is a Major in the Texas Air National Guard and Chief of Optometric Services at Ellington Field in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Davis is a parishioner of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church and is a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He volunteers at the Haven of Hope Shelter, providing free eye exams and eye care to the indigent population. He has also been involved with the Lions Club since 1986.
When not at his practice, serving the Air National Guard or volunteering, Dr. Davis enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoys scuba diving, snow skiing, traveling, reading and running. He has completed 10 marathons and would like to try sky diving in the near future.
