Christian Boggess, OD, is an optometrist at Alamo Eye Care. Dr. Boggess is excited to serve the community of San Antonio and offer scleral and corneal rigid gas permeable lens care, dry eye therapy, soft contact and soft colored prosthetic lens care, myopia management, and comprehensive eye care. Dr. Boggess is a native of San Antonio, Texas where he completed his schooling through the University of the Incarnate Word. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science with a minor in Communication Arts. After completing this degree, Dr. Boggess completed his optometry doctorate through the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry (RSO). Dr. Boggess then pursued residency at RSO in Primary Care with an emphasis on Ocular Disease. Through this residency, Dr. Boggess had training in various anterior surface ocular diseases, glaucoma, retinal diseases, pediatric care, and specialty contact lenses. As a resident, Dr. Boggess oversaw the clinical training of 3rd and 4th year optometry students. Dr. Boggess additionally gave multiple lectures for 2nd year optometry students in contact lenses and posterior segment courses. Dr. Boggess is an advocate for the underserved community and completed a mission trip in the Rio Grande Valley. When he is not providing eye care to the community of San Antonio, Dr. Boggess enjoys spending time with his wife, family, reading, exercising, and watching any type of sport.
